Member Standards Committee Currently I have no financial business related involvement with the Trust/School. I work at St Edmund's Catholic School and my husband works at Milton Cross Academy. I am a co-opted Governor at Wimborne Primary School. I am delighted to be involved in my children’s school as I wanted to be part of the team, driving standards up and ensuring that the children had the best possible experience in Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
The stereotypical Governor image of a group of dull, grey men and women needs well and truly dusting off. Our Governor meetings are so much more than that. Everyone has a responsibility, the meetings are interactive and engaging. Also, Governor visits into school are insisted upon. Getting to know the pupils and the staff, making sure they know us as a Governing Board, what we do and what we can do to help. Member of Pay sub-committee (Resources); My husband works for an IT company. As the Headteacher of the Wimborne Schools I sit on the Governing board. I have been in education for nearly 25 years and am passionate about the experience children receive during their time in school.
