I am an Associate Consultant and Coach for One Education Ltd. Through this role I provide coaching, support and consultancy to other schools and those working in education around school improvement and leadership development. Chapel Street Community Primary School is paid directly, by One Education Ltd, for my time in this role.
Currently, I have no other financial or business related involvement with the School. I co-run a Book Club with Simply Books (an Independent Bookshop in Bramhall). This is a book club for adults who enjoy reading children's literature (up to and including books for young adults) and we meet roughly once every 6 weeks. The book club was started in January 2020.
I am friends with the Director of The Curiosity Project and have had a therapeutic relationship in the past with the Director of Child in Mind Ltd.
I don't benefit financially from any of the above organisations. I completed a Biology degree and Primary PGCE at the University of Durham before starting teaching in 2006. I have over 15 years’ experience as a teacher, 11 of which I have been a senior leader.
I was appointed as Headteacher at Chapel Street in April 2020, prior to which I was Acting Headteacher and had been Deputy Headteacher since September 2017. Throughout my career I have worked in a number of very different schools across Greater Manchester and in New Zealand. I completed my NPQH in 2014 and in 2019 was accredited as an ILM Level 5 coach.

I am chair of trustees for a large charity, the Little Princess Trust, and I was awarded an MBE for services to charity and to education in 2019. I also serve as a magistrate. I have a particular interest in strategic and improvement planning, leadership skills and cognitive development.
